The crayfish uses his antennaes to feel around in the water, in case the water get murky. The starfish uses the his skin receptors to feel around, and find food. The pig does not have antennaes or receptors.

What advantages and disadvantages come from a pig dissection?
Pigs and humans are very closely related to physiologically. So the study of pig anatomy is a great indicator or alternative to the study of human anatomy. It's a whole lot easier, baring going to medical school, to study pigs' anatomy than actual, real human cadavers.
